Life, bargins, and random thoughts

So I totally haven't kept up my end of the bargin for starting a blog. Just to recap on what I've been up to... I had a heck of a couple of weekends! One of my best friends came in town a few weeks ago and we had a "dude weekend." We did the girly stuff of shopping, getting our nails done, site seeing, etc. At night, we let loose and let the good times roll! It was good to see that some of the Clevelanders came out for it! High five for dude weekend '09! Then a week later I had "Dude Weekend Part Deux." Equally as fun, and equally as scandelous. It's always good to be surround with good friends from home. Keeps you grounded I think. I got to catch up with my family, friends and some of my clients - overall a much needed weekend.

I also found some freaking ridiculous great deals over the past few weeks. Right now, Macy's has a huge clearance sale - 65% off clearance. Not to mention urbanoutfitters.com, I found some fantastic bargins for the new mansion I'm moving into.

So I found a great apartment (compliments of Cuz), and it's the type of apartment I've always wanted. Hardwood flooring, charm, awesome fireplace, and features you just don't find very often any more. It even has a secret passage way! I can't wait to use that line on some innocent fella... "Hey want to see my secret passage way...?" Oh that makes me laugh.

Lately I've been presented with multiple obstacles, and sometimes I wonder if we are faced with obstacles to 1) not only over come them, but to find opportunity from them; and 2) to face things we don't necessarily want to face. There's always things you don't want to do, but what if there is no way around them? Then you're forced to do them. I like to think things happen for a reason, but why can't that reason be as previlent as the happenings for them. This is too deep for a Tuesday night, I know. I should be watching The Real Housewives of New York City or something...

Weekly Bargins

In an effort to be more thirfty in these dire economic conditions, I am dedicating one day to weekly bargins.

Old Navy, Gap, Bananna Republic - They are offering 30% off your purchase in store and online until March 15. Email me if you'd like me to send you the email.

BigLots, Echo point furniture and lamps - 50% off of fine furnishings and lamps. I really like this line because it matches everything in my mansion.

World Market - great price on Adirondack Chairs ($99) and Wicker all weather chairs ($79). Great for a not-your-average piece of furniture.

Amazon.com - 20% off shoes already marked down.
